I just don’t think Mitt Romney wore enough makeup during his convention speech…I couldn’t tell if it was him or a ventriloquist dummy version of Donny Osmond.
While at the convention, Mitt officially accepted the nomination to be the party’s candidate. Or, as Ron Paul supporters call it, “A minor setback for us.”
Mia Love (the black female Mormon token, I mean…candidate who’s running for a congressional seat in Utah) gave a speech citing Civil Rights heroes (and only them) Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King Jr….and then promptly went on to chastise our first black president and talk about how much she wants him gone. That’s a logic hole big enough to drive a mac truck through. And it makes me wonder if Mia Love would have really had anything to do with the Civil Rights movement if she’d been alive at that time, or if, like Herman Cain and Clarence Thomas before her, she wouldn’t have lifted a finger to help King. It seems to me that a black conservative is someone who talks about how good it feels to be out of chains fifty years after the fighting’s stopped.
MTV cancels Jersey Shore on the day the Republican convention ends. How are the two related? One is a fake show of disgusting ignorance, intolerance, and manufactured “outrage,” the other is Jersey Shore.
Asshole of the Week: ANYONE who has ever complained about “liberal Hollywood actors who don’t know when to leave politics alone” and then applauded when Clint Eastwood took the stage at the RNC.
