I’ll be promoting myself more heavily on YouTube once we get everything up and running, but for now I’d like to announce the creation of “Move Talk.” I was hoping to put it on ITunes right beside “A Year Long Conversation” but they don’t allow multiple podcasts for the same account.
There’s been about four videos posted so far, and it hopes to distinguish itself by not just being movies reviews, but getting into the trends behind the movies. Like “Why Did The 5th Wave Flop?” leading into a discussion of Young Adult movies—from Hunger Games to Mortal Instruments–in general, and why they’re experiencing diminishing returns. Or “Does ’13 Hours’ Hurt Patriotic Movies?” being about the Middle Eastern War Movie subgenre that included American Sniper, Lone Survivor, and the one that started it all Black Hawk Down.
Anyway, I hope you’ll check it out, and just a reminder that there will be more videos to come a few days from now, and more subchannels in the weeks ahead. Not to mention that the first five “Year Long Conversation” episodes are already posted with pictures you won’t see on TV…to put it mildly…
This is pretty good.
