The site is for everyone of all states and political leanings but most days you can expect to find the perspective of liberals living in red states. Each day will contain the following sections…
Mindless Mondays is all about entertainment.
Monday Morning Movie Reviewer: like a Monday Morning quarterback but with a moderately fat guy nobody asked the opinion of giving his two cents about what a movie did right, what it did wrong, and what he would have done differently instead of a beer guzzler critiquing a professional athlete.
Entertainment Editorial and TV Reviews: With EE I cover a variety of issues in the entertainment world and with TV Reviews well…if you can’t figure that out this might not be the site for you.
Mom Jokes: I post the best joke my mom emailed me the previous week.
Tuesday includes Down & Out in Bumblefuck: The Rural News covering the flyover state news you more than likely missed. The big feature is Red State Vs. Blue State which is a weekly debate I have with an Alabama conservative where hopefully I won’t be shot in the head.
Wednesday is self-improvement day as I cover economic issues from a 60k or under prospective (Working Class Economist), the latest foods designed to kill you (The Fast Food Critic where I use a grading scale of 1 to 5 heart attacks), and the brutal world of what to do when you graduate college (Now What? Life Post-Grad)
Thursday features Petty Issues–short, warmed over facebook statuses–and Larger Editorials which goes in depth on a single issue
Friday is Interviews with the Invisible where I interview either someone you wouldn’t think is from a blue state, someone you rarely see interviewed in the media, or a member of the ignored working class. And really they could all fit into the last category. It’s an attempt to get away from the policy wonks you see interviewed all the time but really say nothing–like the former director of A.S.S. or some agency no one has heard of–and look at people really affected by big issues.
Saturday is Bubba’s Sex Tips for a Seductive Evening: How to Be a Player in a Rural Area detailing what to do in a town with few women.
Sunday: Sunday’s Sermons discusses either the South’s favorite thing to wear on its sleeve (Religion) or the thing it goes a mile out of its way not to mention (Race)
I look forward to seeing you for as many days as you can handle.
