This will be one of the shortest articles I’ve ever written on alabamaliberal.com (and there have been thousands over the past near-15 years), but it doesn’t need to be a long one: We all know Donald Trump wants to be a dictator, and is actively working towards that goal. His fans can pretend they’re asleep to this (their rhetoric hasn’t shifted a dime since the Tea Party days of early 2011 when Alabama Liberal was first started) or that this is just some part of the conservative status quo, but it isn’t. Maybe it gives them comfort to pretend to be little kids playing with their private parts in the face of unimaginable danger and an authoritarian threat, but it’s time to wake up.
And for those who are already awake, I want to say thank you.
Thank you to everyone who attended the “No Kings” protest today… Thank you to everyone who voted for Kamala Harris last November… Thank you to everyone who has given ANY money to liberal groups or Democratic candidates… Thank you to anyone correctly calling out the Trump regime and his desire to become a dictator… Thank you to anyone who knows what time it is, and is not sleeping through this moment…
