The Trump regime’s first 100 days have been exactly what many of us predicted: 100 days, 100 screw ups…
In no particular order…
100. Trying to appoint a sex offender to be Attorney General (Matt Gaetz).
99. Only pulling him when it was obvious he couldn’t get the votes.
98. Signal Gate 1—the Atlantic reporter being in on the group chat.
97. Signal Gate 2—Hegseth’s wife and brother also being in on the group chat.
96. A Russian asset as Director of National Intelligence (Tulsi Scabbard).
95. One of the prominent vaccine skeptics in the country as Health and Human Services Secretary (RFK Jr.).
94. RFK Jr. having no credible Science or health background whatsoever, and Trump ramming him through anyway even as the country experiences bird flu that could easily morph into a pandemic (showing Trump learned absolutely nothing from his disastrous CoVid handling)…Bonus: “Dr. Oz” as Administrator for the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services
93. RFK Jr. is also a uniquely bad choice to lead during a measles outbreak as that’s the very vaccine RFK Jr. has linked to Autism, despite that being disproven many times.
92. On President’s Day, Trump thought he’d show he does not understand the holiday by tweeting an image of himself as a king with the caption “Long Live the King.”
91. On Easter, Trump thought he’d also show he doesn’t get that holiday either by posting a long, hateful rant on Truth Social.
90. Creatine fiend Kash Patel has been installed as FBI director despite his primary qualification being that he wants to punish Trump’s “enemies;” goes against the hope that the FBI will not be an arm of the White House as it dispenses justice.
89. Milwaukee judge Hannah Dugan literally arrested by the FBI not for corruption (which is mostly fine in the Trump administration) but for “obstructing” justice by letting an immigrant they wanted to deport escape through her courtroom.
88. But actual political corruption? Perfectly fine by this FBI, as Marjorie Taylor Greene has been allowed to commit obvious insider trading, and NYC mayor Eric Adams had his corruption investigation squashed by Trump’s justice department in exchange for being a more malleable mayor in the country’s biggest city.
87. Don Jr. launched a Washington D.C. business club called Executive Branch where there is a 500K “membership fee” to join and has various high profile businessmen and tech titans as members. Don’t think the President’s son leading a club like this is enough of a conflict of interest? The official launch had actual government officials of the Trump administration like Marco Rubio, Tulsi Gabbard, the actual Attorney General Pam Bondi, the actual FBI deputy directorDan Bongino, the actual FTC Chairman Andrew Ferguson, and the actual SEC Chairman Paul Atkins who is supposed to investigate insider trading.
86. Trump installed a far-right podcast host called Dan Bongino as deputy director of the FBI.
85. Trump installed an attorney who had previously represented him personally (during his first impeachment hearing) as Attorney General (Pam Bondi), although Barbie Goebbels would be more accurate.
84. Bondi’s close relationship with Trump predates Trump even entering politics as he had previously made donations to her Florida AG campaigns even as his university fraud case was making its way through the Florida legal system.
83. David Sacks helped Trump raise money in 2024…then became his “crypto czar” overseeing the “regulations” that will govern cryptocurrency and A.I. (spoiler alert: he doesn’t favor any).
82. Linda McMahon was a major fundraiser to Trump in 2024 (giving more than 10 million dollars to his campaign)…then became Secretary of Education, a department she has no relevant experience for and was put “in charge” of specifically to dismantle.
82. The dismantling of the Department of Education. He would also like to completely end Head Start.
81. Elon Musk gave Trump’s 2024 reelection effort 288 million dollars and then Trump created a position for him as head of The Department of Government Efficiency, and essentially made him co-President with endless photo ops and cabinet meetings together.
80. Around the time Musk made another huge donation to Trump, Trump allowed Musk to hold a Tesla commercial on the White House lawn with cue cards in his hand talking up the benefits of buying various models.
79. The extreme violation of the emoluments clause between just Trump and Musk is endless with various government deals going through for Tesla, Space-X, and Starlink, and the supposed Secretary of Commerce (Howard Lutnick) talking up the advantages of buying Tesla stock in his official capacity as a cabinet head.
78. The wrongful deportation of Kilmer Abrego Garcia to an El Salvadorian prison is/was so egregious that even the radical rightwing SCOTUS demanded he be returned.
77. The White House has so-far refused the SCOTUS order to make all attempts to bring Garcia back.
76. Not only has the White House defied a SCOTUS order to bring back a man they wrongly sent to a foreign prison, but they have apparently done it again with a Detroit-area Venezuelan man identified in court documents as “Cristian.”
75. The “deportation” of over 300 Venezuelan to a country they are not from (El Salvador instead of Venezuelan) and to a private prison the U.S. government is paying to keep them in instead of the usual deportation process is blatantly illegal…Trump has also repeatedly said he hopes to deport American citizens there as well, which is also (you guessed it) blatantly illegal.
74. Gutted the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and would like to eliminate it altogether. Hmmm…now why would a guy who ran a university fraud, charity fraud, and multi-level marketing scheme want to get rid of a Bureau that protects consumers from fraud?
73. Appointed a top henchman as FCC Chairman (Brendan Carr) so he could violate First Amendment protections by threatening media Trump doesn’t like.
72. Carr is holding up the merger between Paramount Global (parent company of CBS news) and Skydance until they muzzle CBS News—including “60 Minutes,” which Trump is ridiculously suing for billions of dollars…The encroachments on “60 Minutes” (the top rated news program in the country and also one of the most respected to ever air on television) is so relentless, the longtime executive producer (Bill Owens) just resigned rather than let him Paramount pressure him into censoring content.
71. Carr is also trying to pressure Disney (parent company of ABC News) into “de-woke-ing” their news division, also meaning getting rid of reporters Trump doesn’t like under the guise of ending “DEI,” which sure seems like a violation of civil rights statutes as the government cannot pressure businesses to be more racist in their hiring practices.
70. Trump pressured ABC News into settling a nuisance suit… He’s also suing Paramount/CBS over a “60 Minutes” segment he didn’t like… He’s also pressured Facebook into ditching their fact checking policies… He’s also pressured The Washington Post into curbing the left-lean of opinion pieces… He pressured CNN into moving Jim Acosta to the graveyard shift so he would quit… He got Bill Maher to come to the White House, and flattered his inherent narcissism a little bit so he’d get more favorable coverage from here on out… He’s trying to gut NPR/PBS… All of this combined shows why the news and social media algorithms may actually be too soft on what Trump is doing.
69. Trump has even threatened to sue pollsters over polls he didn’t like such as his ultra-frivolous suit against J. Ann Seltzer.
68. The endless shakedowns of media outlets over reporting he doesn’t like are tantamount to a shakedown racket where he can raise money as a private citizen with frivolous lawsuits the businesses feel compelled to pay since he’s currently sitting in his capacity as POTUS.
67. He’s also called his recent polling dip fake and some liberal conspiracy against him rather than seeing how unpopular his policies actually are—furthering his break from reality.
66. He’s obsessed with “leaks” within the Pentagon, but not with the provable leaks committed by Walz and Hegseth—the latter of whom is such a uniquely horrible manager that his own chief of staff and two different aides have quit less than 100 days into the job.
65. The student deportations and revoked visas for merely speaking out against the administration or Israel…
64. This includes the infamous case of Tufts student Rumeysa Ozturk, who was practically kidnapped off the street and has been held in an ICE facility in Louisiana ever since. She has not been deported to her home country or even kept in a facility near where she was attending university but a scary de facto prison in a state she’s never been to…Attention had to be drawn to this case by Senator Ed Markey and Representative Ayanna Pressley who both visited Ozturk, but she stillhas not been freed from the detention facility.
63. Marco Rubio’s revoking of all South Sudanese visas over a mistake that the Trump regime itself was responsible for when it tried to deport a Democratic Republic of Congo citizen back to South Sudan, they initially didn’t take him (since it’s the wrong country), and then even when they agreed to take him—Rubio revoked visas for thousands of people anyway, throwing their lives into chaos.
62. In a horrifyingly petty display of just how much the federal government has been bastardized over the last 100 days, the State Department website backs up Rubio’s decision with inappropriate language referring to South Sudan’s “taking advantage of the United States” which is written like a defensive blog post instead of a credible organ of the federal government.
61. Endless bad publicity over Trump’s cruel immigration policies like the deportation of a 2 year old.
60. Trump’s henchwoman Pam Bondi is baselessly “investigating” Act Blue, the largest donation platform for the Democratic Party in a clear sign that Trump is trying to suppress political opposition.
59. Yet another of the endless signs of suppressing the opposition is his targeting of law firms that have worked on cases against him in the past.
58. The only way they can temporarily get off the s*** list of Trump is to pay him a bribe with so many hours of work on causes he cares about.
57. Attorneys representing him have used infantilizing language like the targeted firms being “too partisan” except for the fact that they are private law firms that can work on whatever the hell cases they want as they have no obligation not to be “partisan” or do what they feel like in the name of standing up to the federal government for underdogs fighting it.
56. That the POTUS is targeting law firms that have brought cases against him not only as President but him as a person shows Trump is determined to blur the lines between “President Trump” the leader of the federal government and Donald J. Trump, the lifelong con artist and professional bastard who has been sued thousands of times for various offenses.
55. The targeting of universities and the belief that an autocratic, rightwing government should have control over their curriculums, boards, scholarships, admittance policies, and hiring practices.
54. His attacks on higher education (and U.S. colleges are often thought of as the best in the world) are so relentless it got Colombia to fold, and caused Harvard to have to sue him to back off.
53. Trump’s belief that what the U.S. really needs right now is an expensive military parade on his birthday, an idea Trump wanted to do all throughout his first term.
52. Trump has sent his billionaire buddy Steve Witkoff (who has no diplomatic experience whatsoever) to handle hot spots like Gaza as a “special U.S. envoy”…
51. …He’s also sent him to meet with Putin (and not Ukraine) as an envoy to “end the Ukrainian war.” He’s also sent him to meet with Iran in talks about their nuclear program. Again, anyone reading this has as much (or possibly more) state department and/or diplomatic experience as Steve Witkoff does.
50. His horrifying Nazi-purge of “DEI” such as having Hegseth push out military officials that were women (like the Coast Guard chief, the first woman to lead a branch of the U.S. military) over “DEI,” although all of the ones they’ve pushed out have more actual experience than Hegseth himself.
49. Trump has also overturned the basic civil rights protections he controls like an executive order revoking an LBJ-era rule that desegregates government contractors.
48. Trump pulls out of the Paris Climate Agreement…again…
47. Trump fool-heartedly believes he can (or should) bring coal jobs back…again…
46. Trump royally screws up supply chains and cause shortages at stores…again… (this time from tariffs instead of CoVid)
45. Although egg prices (which he promised to lower while on the campaign trail) have gone nowhere but up since he took office, Trump keeps insisting egg prices have gone down, even sometimes saying they are “too low.”
44. Letting a man who has received 38 billion in government help (Musk) and who was not a billionaire until taking advantage of Obama-era EV subsidies and carbon credits look for “government waste” in his endless effort to wreck the federal government.
43. Co-President Musk has become so unpopular, his election interference (from endorsing Canada’s Conservative Party to spending millions in a Wisconsin Supreme Court race to endorsing Germany’s far right party) practically guarantees whatever side he’s against will win, regardless of what country it’s in…Even Trump—the lunatic who went off on a rant on Easter Sunday and who believes anything he doesn’t want to hear is “fake news”—has reportedly told Musk to cool it with the chainsaw. When you have to tell one of your top advisors to tone it down, and it’s a Ketamine-addicted guy who’s addicted to getting women pregnant, there’s some problems with messaging.
42. DOGE is almost certainly a Russian asset with the National Labor Relations Board whistleblower saying Russian agents were able to use a backdoor DOGE installed only 15 minutes after they installed it, and also questioning why so much sensitive information was uploaded through Starlink…This incredibly important practically disappeared a few days after it broke, and I’m sure PBS/NPR would love to tell us more about it except they’re probably spending an inordinate amount of time trying not to get fully defunded.
41. Trump and Vance themselves are almost certainly Russian assets as they orchestrated an embarrassing (for America) confrontation with Zelenskyy in the Oval Office, seemingly blowing up a lucrative rare minerals deal on purpose. …As Trump has been so adamant about getting rare metals and minerals he’s willing to “purchase” Greenland or takeover Canada to get them, losing a half-trillion in mineral rights seemed bewildering.
40. He wants to “take back” the Panama Canal, which the U.S. relinquished the rights to 50 years ago. Any “reacquisition” would almost certainly be by force.
39. His attempts to purchase Greenland have been beyond clumsy, sending the least popular man in America (J.D. Vance) to the nation so as to make sure there isn’t a Greenlander left who’s open to the idea.
38. A horribly unpopular proposal for the U.S. to takeover the Gaza Strip, which did the impossible: united the pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian people…against Trump.
37. An AI-generated video of Trump’s vision of turning the Gaza Strip into a Middle Eastern Atlantic City set a new bar for how offensive A.I. generated-content could be.
36. His haphazards “jokes” about making Canada “the 51st state” did the impossible: revived the sagging fortunes of the liberal party in Canada despite their trailing the Conservative Party for nearly 3 straight years prior to the April 28th election.
35. Our relationship with Mexico isn’t so rosy these days either, meaning the U.S. has neighbors to the North and South that both would like to see a regime change sooner than later…Could be a problem for a regime that wants cooperation from Mexico on drug trafficking and immigration, and Canada on ceasing to exist.
34. “Did J.D. Vance kill the Pope?” Memes circulating as the Pope drops dead only hours after having to share a room with J.D. Vance…It’s also clear that Pope Francis had serious disagreements with the Trump regime and disagreed with Vance’s view on ordo amoris being used to justify their inhumane immigration policies.
33. Hegseth floating the idea of conducting military operations in Mexico (bombing drug cartel targets) while Trump gets cozy with El Salvador’s dictator (who refuses to return wrongfully deported people and seems more than open to take whoever Trump sends down there) is a good representation of our ass-backwards “alliances” these days. Similar to…
32. Trump repeatedly saying Kremlin talking points and disinformation like Ukraine somehow started the war with Russia, the country that’s invading them and trying to steal their territory…Trump’s Putin love is so notorious, that Zelenskyy himself had to say “Trump lives in a circle of Russian disinformation,” wherein Trump embarrassingly called Zelenskyy a dictator, then presumably went about trying to find a way to stay in office forever, disband the Democratic Party, and force media companies to report only what he wants them to. Speaking of…
31. Like Trump, Musk’s government cuts seem primarily driven by revenge, like targeting aviation safety boards and jobs only days before a DC helicopter crash that seems at least partially driven by safety cuts Musk wanted since his Space-X rockets keep blowing up and Starlink satellites keep falling out of the sky prematurely, wreaking havoc with debris.
30. Trump has thrown the Associated Press out of the White House media briefings for refusing to use their made up phrase of “Gulf of America.”
29. Trump has cut thousands of jobs from FEMA…
28. Trump has cut thousands of jobs from NOAA…
27. Trump has also cut thousands of jobs from the Department of Health…Those cuts combined with others across various departments should make for a real fun hurricane and flu season.
26. DOGE has cut U.S. Aid, literally killing people that desperately depend on the pittance the U.S. spends on foreign aid each year.
25. The tens of thousands of federal jobs that have been cut will almost certainly cause a recession as it is nearly impossible to cut over 100,000 good paying federal government jobs without causing a recession as loads of people no longer have the money to buy houses or cars or luxury items.
24. Despite Trump’s tariffs supposedly bringing jobs back to America, Joe Biden actually had the lowest unemployment rate in decades before he left office, with Trump seemingly determined to make unemployment worse through federal layoffs and grant freezes.
23. The slashing of government grants and funding has a huge trickle-out effect as otherwise sturdy institutions like John Hopkins University cut 2,000 jobs—their biggest layoff ever.
22. Trump took Biden’s record stock market and tanked it almost immediately between federal layoffs and tariffs.
21. Despite claims he wants to bring manufacturing jobs back to America (which Biden was already doing with the Chips Act, infrastructure bill, parts of the climate bill, and other top priorities), Trump has actually tried to cut some of the Biden-era funds.
20. His asinine tariff formula was mocked so thoroughly, billionaire backer Bill Ackman spoke out against him and said this “wasn’t” what he supported Trump for…apparently not reading a word Trump has written about tariffs and trade deficits since the 80’s.
19. As the stock market lost over 6 trillion dollars (so it could “make back” a few hundred billion in tariffs…one day…maybe), Trump was playing golf at a tournament he owns. The first question from a reporter allowed on Air Force One to talk to him was about whether or not he enjoyed the golf tournament, and Trump bragging about winning the trophy.
18. He is old as hell and clearly losing it…falling asleep at Pope Francis’s funeral and even in cabinet meetings. Meanwhile, “Sleepy Joe” looked robust at Francis’s funeral. Trump is still fanatically jealous of Biden by still slamming the “fake” outcome of the 2020 election where he lost at every turn…yes, still…In addition to becoming enraged every time someone tells him the truth, Trump works hard to stay as isolated from the truth as possible (how could that go wrong for a President?) by surrounding himself with nothing but sycophants. A recent cabinet meeting during the stock market crash had his entire cabinet going around a table giving him compliments in a way more reminiscent of North Korea than North America.
17. DOGE’s mucking about with Social Security staffing have caused unusually long delays in calling into the Social Security administration office, and made some people have to go there in person with longer lines if their local office hasn’t been closed altogether. Martin O’Malley (Biden’s Social Security administrator) has warned that the unthinkable could happen soon: delays of social security checks. …In response, Trump’s dumber-than-hell flunkies Musk and Lutnick repeated the thing about only “fraudsters” screaming about missing social security checks instead of just, you know, old people that need those checks to stay alive?
16. His new propaganda minister/press secretary makes Sarah Huckabee Sanders look honest and pleasant towards the media, and some outlets speculate that being belligerent towards legitimate reporters is not the only job she does for Trump.
15. Has repeatedly threatened to throw Ukraine to the wolves and give Russia whatever they want, serving exactly noneof the U.S.’s long term interests.
14. Very much trying to muscle in on “state’s rights” by doing things like specifically telling Maine’s Governor “We are the federal law” over a disagreement in transgender women in sports, and he’s been probing Maine for funding cuts ever since as they fight it out in court.
13. Has said Biden’s last-minute pardons of Republicans like Representative Liz Cheney, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and General Mark Milley weren’t legal (somehow), and has been petulantly trying to find ways to hurt various “enemies” anyway like pulling the Secret Service protection for Hunter Biden, John Bolton, and Mike Pompeo, the last two having credible death threats from Iran towards them.
12. While Trump looked for ways to go after such threats to society as Dr. Fauci and American generals that believe in the constitution, he took a more empathetic view towards professional misogynists Andrew and Tristan Tate, helping them get out of Romanian legal jeopardy and getting them on a plane back to the United States despite charges of rape, human trafficking, and money laundering.
11. Trump’s cuts towards K-12 education, Science funding, and medical research are beginning the great “dumbing down” of America, the country that usually benefitted from “brain drain” as the best and brightest throughout the world usually came here to study and work. Now, our own best and brightest might go elsewhere.
10. At a time when climate crisis has never been more out of control, Trump has made targeting Biden-era priorities to fight climate crisis like the climate bill or green initiatives in things like the Inflation Reduction Act and Infrastructure Bill a priority.
9. The courts actually following the law have so frustrated Trump, he’s deployed tactics like not only the literal arrest of judges and talking about “impeaching” judges from the bench (which earned the rare rebuke from even ultra-right Justice John Roberts) but his flunky Mike Johnson has even floated the idea of downsizing the number of courts there are for districts seen as particularly “in his way” and/or following the law.
8. Trump took over The Post Office…To say nothing of the Kennedy Center, because God forbid there be even one aspect of life he doesn’t try to monopolize on.
7. Kristi Noem is his Homeland Security Secretary…A woman who could not secure her own purse at a restaurant (although the theft of it did bring to light that she had $3,000 in cash and her passport in it as though she’s ready to flee at a moment’s notice), but could find time for a horrifying photo-op at the El Salvadorian rent-a-gulag of your nightmares.
6. Trump is so horrible for the U.S. economy, that even the legendarily unshakable bond market wobbled, which has (so far) been the only thing that caused him to “pause” the tariff war.
5. He’s pushing countries directly into the arms of China, alienating our longtime alliances while deliberately taking the side of Russia and China on nearly every issue (like delaying the TikTok ban for seemingly no reason whatsoever).
4. Fired 18 inspector generals so it’s harder to look into what he’s doing. As he now fully controls the FBI (through Kash Patel and Dan Bongino), Justice Department (through stooge Pam Bondi), FCC (henchman Brendan Carr), SEC (Paul S. Atkins), Homeland Security (Kristi Noem), and even the Post Office, there are few—if any—checks on Trump’s power within Washington.
3. Wants to fire the not-supposed-to-be-controlled-by-the-President’s-whims Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell so badly that it rattled the markets as him being able to successfully do this would end the Fed’s independence and cast doubt on the entire U.S. financial system.
2. His cryptocurrency grift is not only brazen corruption (like that’s ever stopped Trump before) but a possible conflict of interest as he’d clearly love it if Trump-coin replaced the actual U.S. dollar.
1. He’s repeatedly talking about a third term…He’s also the only one talking about it since it is very explicitly unconstitutional and completely illegal. It’s also something 87% of the country does not support, and this is in his first 100 days wherein Presidents usually enjoy their peak popularity—I can only imagine how low the number of people supporting a third Trump term would be in his final year. In fact, I like imagining his final year very, very much—and am hoping we don’t have to wait until 2028.
